Hitting the open market

As I approach the end of my current contract it appears less and less likley that funding will be available for my renewal. A shame really considering the progress we have made on the new version of the application - which has manifested into a pretty damn nice codebase, even if I do say so myself. But unfortunately administrivia is once again about to become the downfall of a potentially promising project.

So with that news I announce myself available. I am a little shaken by this news but I am positive that some good will come of it. If anyone knows of any suitable local or telecommutable work - please keep me in my mind.

I have uploaded my current CV to my about page.

I love the resume. Does it work though? After being employed by a few companies I've only had about 50% believe in getting out of the way, and that was probably only 50% of the time. I honestly feel like copying the way you have it though with my own philosophy and skills for future resumes as I'm sick of it. Over here though it mainly seems like there are a bunch of keyword searches from recruiters and people who know nothing about ALT.NET, IoC, or CI and think they are Agile because they can spell the word. I do love the boldness though, very cool Tong

You are right - it is bold. And it has deterred some recruiters (but who cares!) and also some employers. I do take a fairly aggressive approach to putting forward my desires but I am willing to accept the consequences.

Structuring the CV that way hurts for the jobs I don't really want but helps enormously for the kind of roles that I am looking for.

But it is definitely not the safe route.
